Joe is a partner and managing director of Morton Bates Arts Services, alongside fellow arts manager Claire Morton. Having previously built successful careers in the arts sector, they established Morton Bates Arts Services and combined their breadth of knowledge and skills so as to appropriately facilitate artistic development and provide tailor-made support, bespoke to meet client’s individual needs. Their clients range from solo and independent artists to large-scale, international touring companies across all performing art forms.

Joe trained as a dancer at Liverpool Institute for Performing Arts, gaining a BA (Hons) in Performing Arts (Dance), and went onto train and study at London Contemporary Dance School. As well as working as a professional dancer across a range of projects and companies, Joe also worked as a production/stage manager for both dance and theatre. He went on to complete a Masters in Arts Management at City University in 2007 and established Morton Bates Arts Services in 2008. Joe has been working as State of Flux's Producer since 2009.
