State of Flux DanceFilm Company was established in 2003 by Director and Choreographer Heather Eddington and has since grown to become recognised as a leading company for the production of dance, film, and digital media. The company's mission is to bring together the moving body with the moving image to produce innovative mixed media work for a range of contexts. These works include both installations, and live performances, which incorporate a range of artistic mediums including, poetry, sculpture, animation and digital media.
Director Heather Eddington is based in Norwich and is Associate Artist at DanceEast, Ipswich. Heather is currently working with DanceEast, devising a new online dance magazine show that is then uploaded to The Space website across 6 weeks. Entitled ‘Come Dance with Me’ and with New Art Club’s Tom Roden and Pete Shenton as presenters, the 4th edition of the show is due out early September.
Heather received a BA (hons) first class degree in Dance and Theatre Arts from the University of Birmingham and subsequently studied under the renowned Director David Hinton at London Contemporary Dance School on their Dance for Screen course.

Heather's adventurous style generates an accessible dancefilm experience which has been well received by artists and audiences alike. Her work has been shown in a range of venues, spaces and contexts including museums, colleges, cinemas and theatres. Recent examples include: The Place, London; The Junction, Cambridge; The Wolsey Studio, Ipswich; Cinema City, Norwich; Sainsbury Centre for Visual Arts, Norwich; Essex College, Southend; Dancedigital, Chelmsford; and Norfolk Dance, Norwich.
Heather has recently received funding from Arts Council England to support the development of a new work. Created through a series of labs throughout 2012, State of Flux will bring together a poet, set designer, theatre director, digital artist and animator to develop a new multidisciplinary work that promises to push the boundaries of what theatre can be. The work will go into production in early 2013 and will premiere at DanceEast Ipswich on 8th/9th February 2013.
