Number of days: 3 – 5

Guided by the company’s specialist dancefilm director Heather Eddington, participants will have the opportunity to explore dancefilm techniques such as: camera work, choreographing for the camera, performing in front of a camera and editing with Final Cut Pro software.

Our hands-on approach allows participants to explore the full potential of digital technologies as they are given access to the company’s specialist equipment and allowed to create their own films from initial idea through to finished dancefilm.

The workshop will allow participants to engage with digital technologies and new media in an accessible, fun and creative way. The activities will encourage participants to think differently and approach dance and choreography in new and fresh ways.

The workshop could consist of some or all of the following elements (depending on the length of the workshop):

Workshops can run over three to five full days or could be delivered in a series of shorter sessions as part of an after school club. At the end of the workshop all participants will be given an individual copy of their finished dancefilm on DVD.
